Memory Haze (Ex) The intoxicating scent given off by a poppy leshy causes memory to those affected by its spores. Anyone creature hit by a spore attack must make a DC 11 Will save or suffer 1 point of Wisdom damage. Any creature who suffers Wisdom damage from a poppy leshy’s spores suffers minor memory loss for a period of 10 minutes per point of damage suffered. Creatures who suffer from this memory loss must make a DC 11 Wisdom check to recall specific details during that period of time. This is a mind-affecting effect. The save DC is Charisma-based.
Poppy leshies care for flowers, often but not always poppy plants. They look like small humanoid creatures with flowers for hair and leafy or flowery growths covering their legs and feet. In truth, these leshies do not have legs, but rather use flexible roots to move along the ground or up trees.
Poppy leshies often carry slender rapiers or daggers with them, which they keep hidden among the leaves on the lower half of their bodies. They only rely on these weapons as a last resort, knowing that most creatures that attack them can overpower them. If fighting in self-defense, they usually rely on their innate sleep magic to subdue their opponents and escape. Although generally peaceful, some druids and fey creatures use them to help subdue intruders in their groves.
Growing a Poppy Leshy
Poppy leshies are usually grown in the early spring, planted with poppy seeds that are soon to sprout. When first born, a poppy leshy has weapon, but can construct them from available materials given a day and left to its own devices (no Craft check required).
